About the Festival
Nuakhai is the sacred first-fruit offering of Western Odisha. On this auspicious day, the newly harvested grain (Nabanna) is first presented as bhoga to Lord Nrusinghanath in gratitude for protection, rainfall, and agricultural abundance.Nuakhai is not merely a harvest ritual; it is a celebration of gratitude, unity, and cultural identity.
